Vote for Chooch

Carlos Ruiz is having quite possibly the best season thus far out of any catcher in all of baseball, let alone the National League, but he is still 4th in all star voting.  He needs your support! Even though, Carlos Ruiz is not the name that Yadier Molina or Brian McCann is he is an all star and deserves this recognition. Chooch is hitting .358 with 8 home runs, one off his career season high.  Ruiz has an OPS of .992, which tops the 3 catchers he is currently trailing. Even without considering his hitting this year, Ruiz is irreplaceable as a backstop for the Phillies.  He has tossed out 37% of potential base stealers and has managed a staff with many aces, such as Cole Hamels, Cliff Lee, and Roy Halladay, which can be challenging due to the array of pitches and break these pitchers offer.  Vote for Chooch!
